  • Chuseok is a major Korean holiday, often called the "Korean Thanksgiving" or the "Mid-Autumn Festival," celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month to honor the year's bountiful harvest and give thanks to ancestors. Families gather, prepare ancestral offerings of traditional foods like songpyeon (rice cakes), visit family graves, and share stories and games under the bright, full harvest moon. It's a vital family-focused holiday, comparable to Lunar New Year in importance.  We desire to present Full Moon Korean Food Festival during the Columbus Day weekend (October 11,12,13).

  • Workers will wear traditional Korean dress (Hanbok - 한복) as shown in the above Picture. Also, we will prepare Songpyeon. Songpyeon is a traditional Korean rice cake with a sweet filling, commonly prepared during the autumn harvest festival of Chuseok. Steamed on a bed of pine needles, the cakes are famous for their signature half-moon shape, which symbolizes prosperity and growth.
